Motorola RAZR V3
V3 available in NYC on Tuesday
I visited the Cingular store in NY yesterday and they told me it will be available this coming Tuesday. I asked the sales guy if the phones are locked or not and he says they are unlocked. I don't know if I can trust him being that everything people tell me has been false cause they wanted to make a sale.
Can people on this forum help...those that are lucky to have the V3 already...can you try to ask a friend or relative who uses a different provider and pop in the SIM card. Not AT&T cause I'm not sure with AT&T since they are now sharing the same network.
This would help a lot and hopefully, I will have my V3 by Tuesday. I've been eyeing it ever since I saw it on the Motorola website months ago.

i got mine from the cingular/motorola contest. it was in a cingular box and it was unlocked. i dunno about the new shipments though

Your Cingular store rpe is a little uninformed. It's available NOW in (I'm betting) most stores, but only one or two per store. It's available in broader supply Monday at 10AM.
I bought mine Wed, here in CT. No reason it would be a week different.
I would try your closest ATT Wireless store Monday AM, they should have stock tied to "Day 1" rebranding of store. Maybe they funnelled all the initial stock to that store in NYC, I know things get crazy there.

I went into a Cingular store in Brooklyn this past friday and the phone was available. It wasn't on display or anything, so I had to ask for it. Not sure whats up w your store.

Yeah, I was pretty upset that they didn't have it. It's the store on Broadway...next to Game Stop...near NYU. It's weird that they didn't have it. Maybe they sold out? Oh well, I still need my answers before I can make the purchase. I'm so confused.
