has anyone figured out a way to sync the hs810 with the razr????

Syncing the 820 is not problem at all. The assumption going around is that it won't work and thats the reason (one of the reasons) that it was discontinued. Anyone heard anything???

yeah, you just hold down the multi-function button for three seconds then flip open the mic. do a search for headsets while the light is flashing and it picks up the HS810. The default sync code is 0000 (four zeros). Mine synced up with no problem, and I can even use the headset with my computer as a mic and earpiece.

Sync or bond?

Ralph is correct, except for the first part.

You start with the hs810 closed, hold down the m-f button till you see a solid blue light. Flip open mic, search for hf device from phone, say yes to bond, enter 0000 as password and you are done.

If you bond to another phone or puter, you have to repeat procedure each time you switch devices(hs810 can only bond with one device at a time).

What was wrong about what I said?

Also, the HS810 can sync with up to eight devices which it stores. It will only automatically connect with the most recent connection, however to activate a link one simply goes to the bluetooth -> handsfree menu on their phone and selects the HS810. The only time you'll have to repeat the pairing process if you've synced with more than eight devices. In such a case the serial number wouldn't be stored anymore.

Bonding is more the word you want to use, however the only reason I could see the 810 going out is that the 850 will replace it, longer batt life, it is the same unit and is black vice silver, you can see it on Moto's UK website.

As for BT, any truth to the stuff I've heard that the Razr has the longer range than, say, the V600? (100 feet?)
