Motorola RAZR V3
SMS alert with ringer ID
I find it really annoying that if you set a ringtone for someone in your phonebook using the Ringer ID option, the phone also uses that ringtone for text messages coming from that person, instead of the default sound. I dont wanna hear a full mp3 song every time I get a message. Is there any way around this?
Have you found a solution and if so can you post me
Thanks a mill
Go to RING STYLES; then choose whatever ring style you want (Loud/Soft/Vibe and Ring, etc.); then go down to the next line to LOUD detail (or whatever ring style you selected--either way, it has the word "detail" on the end of it); click on that, then go all the way down to RINGER ID'S--change it to OFF. But make sure before you exit from the menu, check the TEXT MSGS option on that same menu to see if the default sound that's listed is the sound you want; if not, change it to the sound you want.
But is there a way to keep the Ringtone with the User when they ring and have a different ringtone when the same user sends a text??
Thanks

-Go to your phonebook
-Click on the menu button
-Go to CATEGORIES
-Highlight the particular category you want (i.e., Business, General, etc) and hit the menu button again
-A menu will appear (CATEGORY MENU). It should say NEW, EDIT, DELETE, REORDER LIST. You want to hit EDIT.
-Another menu appears (CATEGORY DETAILS). Make sure your contact appears under MEMBERS. Then, go to the last option (R...
