I've heard that razr has been released more than once in new and improved versions. I just bought a new one off of Ebay that's locked to Cingular. How can I tell if I'm getting the newer model? I've heard the first model had lots of problems?? It's a high rated phone on CNET and I've wanted one for a long time. Does anyone know what I should check for?

I've been following this forum for going on a year and a half, and have one of the very first commercially available U.S. phones. I'm not aware of any "problems" the first "model" had. I'm also not aware that a new "model" has come out, as in new hardware. They have released new firmware, with some enhanced capabilities (like video capture) - perhaps that's what you're referring to?

Yea, I guess. I know the phone I'm getting doesn't have video capture but I'm okay with that. If I wanna videotape someone, I'll use my camcorder. haha. I've just heard that some of the features were improved with recently released models. How is your phone?
