cen. fla pricing
Hey all, just got through with a rep with price sheet.
retail- $639.00
1 yr. con- $579.00
2 yr. con- $519.00
They haven't received theirs yet, he expects them within a week. He also told me, I'm not sure why, that the intro. price should drop after the 100 day exclusivity period ends. This was a corporate store.

For Anxiovert or any other Cingular Rep
Do you happen to know the price without a contact. I know it has been asked before, but with the phone a few days away from being out, i wanted to check again.
I just signed up for Cingular about a month ago, and my 15 day grace period has passed. I would like the V3, but will have to pay full retail.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

V3 1 Year Contract
Is there anyway to order the phone with only a 1 yr contract on the website or do we need to wait until it hits the stores?

Is this available at ALL cingular stores (preferablly in Austin,TX) because I've been going to my local cingular store a lot and I don't want to keep on going if I know it will be there on Day 1.

The others are worried
I've been a Verizon customer for about 5 years. It has not been a horrible experience, but it has been a bumpy road. Issues with reception, billing, and a one time shouting match in Verizon store with one of their sales personnel, prompted me to contact their corporate offices by e-mail, by telephone, by fax, and by letter ... all went unanswered. Time passes. So yesterday I have a message on my home answering machine from a Verizon rep who wants to "evaluate my billing plan to save me money and make me a happy customer". First time in five years these people have shown me anything other than annoying TV commercials. Do you think they know Cingular is planning big things? 🤣 If the CEO of Verizon were standing next to me, I would...

Newsflash - FINAL WORD on RaZR/Cingular
Cingular's release date issue with this phone is tied directly - and only - to a "car charger" problem that Cingular Reps, Execs and Techs encountered with their first few exclusively available V3's. It is for this reason it was removed from their website. The problem is being addressed by the pocket protector boys in the Texas Labs, and the phone will be available by this Friday, or early Saturday.
Voila.

Significance of Locked or Unlocked
So tell me if I got this right. Having a locked phone doesnt really matter unless you travel outside the U.S. frequently, where you would need to have it unlocked in order to use a different SIM card. Im going to buy the V3 and want to make sure I have all the info before I do. Thanks.

Site crashed while trying to order the V3
Just tried to order my V3 from Cingular.com but I got a server error when I hit the checkout/submit order button. So I don't think it went through, but then again, I don't know for sure.
Out Tomorrow!
It's official. Tomorrow it'll be available on Cingular's website and stores.
I have ONE BIG problem with the RAZR....
Where the hell are we supposed to find accessories, we sure dont carry any 🤣

Customer Shipments Hit Stores Today
Apparently many (all?) Cingular stores received two V3's in today's shipment.
It's exactly what I wanted - thin but substantial in feel, very sleek, can slide into a suit pocket without being noticeable, can easily be carried in a dress shirt pocket. A true executive phone. I've shown it to 3 people so far, they all want to get one, fully knowing about the $500 price. I'd say there's a strong market for this phone.
No accessories available yet, but it does come with a charger (someone had omitted that from an earlier list). Haven't had time to "play" with it yet.
