Verizon just hosed Handspring - still waiting on EVDO
Any pda type phone that was going to come at this time simply had to have EVDO to be viable. Had they released the Treo 650 before Verizon told us to anticipate EVDO product(s) in May, then they could have unloaded a good deal more. However, who in their right mind gets into a contract with technology that is months away from being totally trumped by EVDO.
The Samsung i730 makes all the sense in the world now.

Want reasons?
1. PalmOS. Who wants to convert all their PalmOS stuff to windows?
2. Camera. I dont see one on the Samsung.
3. What about those people who don't give a crap about EVDO? Maybe they (like me) just want a phone with PalmOS that has a camera, plays MP3s, and has a decent battery life.
Right now, I'm using a Kyocera 7135. It's ok but the battery life sucks. Everything about the 600 (and now, 650) is better.

Hay if you have the 7135 you have a down payment on your 650.. Verizon wireless support has the authority to automatically give you an upgrade to the 600 as VZW is trying to purge the 7135 from the system. but you can apply the upgrade to the 650 and pay the difference I got the 499.00 for one-year contract and they applied the same one-year contract price from the 600 for a total out of pocket of 179.00… Verizon has had better than 50% hardware problems (my guy said that was a very conservative number) so tell them just how bad your battery life is and how many times it has crashed or about data loss which affected your business and you will get through. You need the wireless tech support team and talk nice to them and they will be nice to...
