Palm Treo 650 (CDMA)

currently have Nextel as my carrier but since the merger I am thinking of going back to Sprint. Before the service in my area was no that great (Baldwin Park, Ca) that was about 3 years ago. How is the service? Have there been any good changes to the service? Well if I do go back I have my eye on the Treo 650 Palmone that phone looks awesome. Can anyone tell me what they think of this phone what matters to me the most is reception and clear calls does Treo 650 offer that or is just a good looking phone. Thanks for the help!

ok got my 650... when a call is in progress and another call comes in you may answer it and it then puts the original call on hold thus call waiting. However when you finish the second call to return to the original call it doesnt end it it continues to keep it on hold. is there anyway to end that call? according to the manual it tells you when the call waiting incoming call is done to hit the hang up all button and then the sprint network will auto dial back both parties to continue original conversation. Is that the only way to do it??

i have the verizon treo 650 and i love it so far the phone works great the wireless sync from verizon make life easy on the go, the only problem i am having that when i go into the palm desktop my media shows up but my contacts and calender entries do not show up. please help i woudl love the be able to edit them on my pc. thanks 😉

My new 650 says I need to set up a Virtual Serial Port in XP to transfer info via BlueTooth. Can't find anything in the help files. Help!!

Has anyone found a way (?external software) to suppress incoming instant message text? New SMS messages appear right on the screen - with no way to hide, mask o stop them. Any ideas? Hey Palm, If you can turn off an audible alert, why not the visual one, esp. the whole message? Thanks!

When I try to set up my Treo to sync with Outlook using Versamail, somehow, it doesn't recognize any accounts on the computer. Anyone have any ideas for how to rectify this?

Im looking to buy a new phone my carrier is sprint and im checking out this PalmOne Treo 650 (CDMA) or the Audiovox / UTStarcom PPC-6600 / PPC-6601 / XV6600 (HTC Harrier). Also, should I buy now or should I wait for the new batch of phones to come out during x-mas time? Would the technology be so much more advanced that it's worth the wait. Any suggestion would be appreciated!

How can you forward emails to the Treo 650? Does Verizon give you an email address?

I want to use VersaMail not Wireless Sync w/o having to poll each email account so ofter (battery life).

I know I am late in the game but I am picking up the 650 for my gorlfriend on Sat. Just wondering are there any tips or warnings about this phone that I should be preadvised about. What accesories are vital? How many times should she be prepared to call Sprint with probs? I have scanned thru this forum and noticed a few pointers but any help will be appreciated. Thanx in advance.

I'm using VersaMail and when I select a video to send I get the message, "Please check you have a default email application which supports attachments."

Does anyone know what I can do to send a video, either freshly taken on the phone or saved in my Media folder?

Now that the Samsung SCH-i730 is out there and taking business away form the Treo, when will PalmOne come out with a version that at least has Wifi, more memory and built in voice-dial software?

Honestly how difficult would it be to add these additional features? The technology has been out there for some time and many manufacturers are using it.

If they incorporated these three features I bet they would retain their market leading position.

I love the feel, one hand operation and eas-of-use of the Treo, but hate that they did not include wifi with the 650 since the technology was already out there when they came out with this version.
