Motorola V635
BROWSER settings...Help!
Cingular stores do not have a clue, and no one at customer care seems to be able to track it down readily...I was hoping someone has a list of the settings??
Does anyone have the V635 fully functional in the US? How about the "Great Lakes" area?
Text messaging works, phone calls and voicemail are okay...No picture messaging and I'm sure I can't have ringtones sent (since they're browser messages from the cingular site). Any help out there?

Although I won't know until tomorrow if it will work or not! When it asks what phone you have, choose the "V551".
Seems to work when I tried "updating" my V400.
p.s. "O2" is a mobile phone provider in the UK.
That worked with the 551 settings...I had configured one myself and it was being sketchy but this one appears to go all the way (without getting page errors)...Only tried the MEdia net page though...Here's the issue I'm worried about though...

btw,
a cingular store manager said they had an Aug release date on the V635 for the Great Lakes area...hmm...I wonder...
Any chance you could walk me through to test if I can do the MP3s to ringtones part on the phone? I have a Mac and a PC with Windows XP...I have the CD and USB cable that came with the phone, haven't tried them yet. Any guidance would be great...Thanks again.
Oh yeah...I had the mobile IM stuff on the V600...I can't remember how I put that on (it was AIM, ICQ and Yahoo)...Does anyone know how I can do that on the V635??
Also getting a roam triangle that I was going to call customer ...

I haven't checked to see if you can download "Mobile IM" from Cingular with a V635 or not. But I'll be checking! If not, it may be possible to use MPT to "rip" it off my V400 and put it on my V635 - not sure if that would work or not though.
That pesky roam triangle will pop up once in a while, from what I have found in the past 10 hours I have had the phone. You can get rid of it by going to settings > network > available...
