Nokia 6682 / 6681
Acura TL Hands Free Link and 6682 - anyone else have problems?
I got my Nokia 6682 and have successfully paired it with my 04 Acura TL's Hands Free Link (HFL).
I can make a call, but when I hang up the HFL/BT connection dies and I am unable to reconnect.
thinking this is a firmware issue as the previous 4 phones I have paired with my acura have all worked perfectly.
PS - how do you find your firmware level on a nokia?

My wife's got an Acura TL '04. I ordered 2 of these phones today. She must have the phone working properly with her HFL so I'll let you know if we have any problems.

I'll tell you why this happens...
Your bluetooth is not turned on permently. It's temporaraly powered on by you when you activeate the phone. To test this when you phone drops the bluetooth connection look at your phone. If it doesn't have a bluetooth symbol on your screen then you bluetooth turned its self off after a preset determined time. Just go into your bluetooth options and make sure it is set to ON. THis is differenet that simply pressing "power on bluetooth". You have to change it to ON. This was a problem with a Moto that a customer had... assuming its the same thing.

True, could be bluetooth auto shut off. Typically this is set to preserve battery usage.

Could be auto shut off...or not! I cannot pair the phone with my Acura TL hands free link. BT set manually on.
