My new phone from letstalk does not appear to have those problems. It had been backordered and just arrived.

Yes that helps. Your software version is the same number as the standard Cingular version. Since yours works, it provides hope that a phone can be obtained with Cingular software that does not lose the call logs. Perhaps they are addresing the problem. I will keep trying to obtain a solution as I love the phone.
Please keep us posted as to the phones performance.

yeah, i agree with you italktoo.
i requested an exchange for my existing 6682 with another 6682 from letstalk.
i am hoping the new one wont have the problems,
since i love the phone i ll keep in the new one anyways,
if the problems still exist, i ll get in touch with nokia and/or wait for a firmware update.
