When you are connected to your heaset and place a call using the keypad to dial a # or the nav pad to scroll to a contact, then press send, can you lock the keypad?

It had been so long since I locked my keypad, I had forgotten how. Mine stays clipped on my side, and I have never dialed a number accidentally.

mrdeth, I'm not exactly sure what your post means, but here is my situation, please let me know if I'm the moron you're referring to.

I do not have a case or clip for my phone yet, so I keep it in a front pocket with nothing else.

If I am walking walking down the street, in a parking lot/garage, at a festival or any the many other places I may walk and talk at the same time, I want to lock the keys, while still on a call that I initiated.

I ma not able to complete this simple task and was wondering if it was just my phone.

icy:

My headset is connected, I dial a number, when the call is connected and I am in conversation, when I press the left blue key, then star, the phone will not lock.

I just tried the same thing with my 6230 and was able to lock the keys.

Ah, therein lies the problem. To lock this particular phone, press the power key (don't hold it in, just press it) and a menu will come up. The first one you see will be "Switch Off". Scroll down to "Lock Keys" and you're all set. To unlock it, do it the same way you did on the 6230.

Wow that was like pulling teeth, but exactly what I needed to know.

Thanks much icy.

Now I will go to work on my communication skills, cause I had to ask that same question too many different ways.
