Can anyone tell me if the keypad on the new Nokia 6682? I've had mine for 5 days & just realized my keypad isn't lighting up.

It has a sensor in the upper left corner of your phone. If it senses light, your keypad will not light up.

If thats true then my keypad should light up when I cover up that hole. It dosen't. But my keypad does light up quite well when I am in a dark area. The 3G version has a second camera where this suposed 'sensor' is, so I doubt that it really is the light sensor. Usually they are located in or around the keypad. Ah well.

Incorrect again. The 3G version's camera is on the upper RIGHT hand corner. The sensor for the 6682 is in the upper LEFT hand corner.

Grrrrrrrrr

I should say right and left meaning when you are facing the phone. Didn't want to confuse you. The 3G version has a sensor where the 6682 sensor is located as well.

Maybe Side or Aprout can explain it better. You don't seem to understand my version of English.

Also make sure your keypad is unlocked. You wouldn't want the key pad to light up while it was in your pocket and locked. That would be a big battery drain.
