Hey all this just in as funny as this sounds there is nothing wrong with your phones. Do me this favor, Open your side door and pop out your rsmmc card, power cycle your phone go all day with no media card. No problems. None. Now the next day stick the card back in oh no problems are back. Nokia is aware of this but they won't admit it. A unnamed Nokia VP provided this info to me. It is the card not the phone hardware that is causing these errors. Nokia has not officially said this is a rsmmc issue or a software issue. Me, I think it is a def software issue. I ordered a 265 card should have it in a few days will let you guys know. Hey if you guys have a non Nokia card in your phone and are have problem let me know thanks. There is a quick f...

Yeah, it's not the card. I put a Kingston 512MB in it this past Saturday and still have the minor issues.

When I contacted NOKIA a few days ago, they had not even heard of this problem, and sent me to one of their service centers. I was told the issue resembled a previous issue with a capacitor.

Did what they advised me to do, and I did not see the problem, FOR A WHILE!!!!!!!!!!!

I now have the problem, if NOKIA knows about it, why are their cust service reps not informed??????????????

What did they advised to do about it??????

The memory card is not the problem.. in fact ON MY SECOND phone from Cingular - I NEVER inserted the card into the phone and never changed one setting from default and the problems came and went, but never went away.

Those of you who think the battery out for 30/60 mins will solve your problem - bullshit.

THE PROBLEM IS IN FIRMWARE! I guess it could be a capacitor issue, but that would be even worse then a firmware problem - hardware issues mean recalls if they ever admit it - firmware will/could be fixed.

To date the problems I have seens are:

Copy contacts to Sim over and over
Lost Call logs
Bluetooth issues with Acura TL (bad implementation of the handsfree profile?)
Bluetooth issues when in use under load (ie syncing, te...

I agree with you wildcubnc. This phone could be problem-free for a day or two, but then all of a sudden it's acting up again.

I've seen it turn off on its own right before my eyes, with a full charge. It's just sitting there doing nothing and turns off. Once in the middle of the night, I noticed the screen was lit, but no display. No response to pressing the keys, so I had to pull the battery out to get it to restart.

Two interesting things I noticed and haven't seen mentioned here: I can't get my display light time-out to really work at 5 seconds. No matter what I set it at, the actual time-out is whatever I set it at plus 30 seconds. No kidding, if you set it for 1 min. it'll turn off in 1:30. No bid deal, but funny.

Second...

I have only 2 minor problems with mine and the positives far outweigh those 2 issues. But out of curiosity, which phone would YOU trade it for?

the answer is different for everybody,

in my case, since i wont be using all the toy features of nokia 6682, i might trade it for a black razr.

after using the phone for 10 days, i figured out that i really dont wanna carry a bulky phone capable of doin everything, of which i just need phone features...

Well get a V551. Its a very nice phone. And I'm being very serious. Gave my 17 year old daughter one and she loves it. No problems with it whatsoever.
