ordered my phone tuesday morning and it is still on backorder 😢 . Hopefully Cingular will still fulfill my order even though they no longer offer the phone.

i was at cingular today to get another sim card to port over my old number to the 6682,
the rep told me they are still suppose to get them... they just dont know when,beside,s the log delete and the copy to sim(which is the 6 cingular numbers to check your account) everything works fine.. im not going to worry about that minor problem for a phone i paid

I had to send mine back to nokia for repair. 3 days and I had to send it back. that's quality with a capital K.

I ran into the same problems as others in the forum. Call logs don't stay and it always wants to copy contacts from the SIM on a powercycle.
When I talked to nokia they said it might be a bad internal battery. They pointed me to a "local" (really about 200mi away) repair center and they suggested I send the phone to nokia in FL (i'm in CA). It's gonna be a while before I get it back.
I miss it already. I took speakerphone for granted. 😢
My great hope is that there will be an update for the music player that will allow it to pause during a call and resume when the call hangs up. I want to use the phone as an mp3 player while i ride. http://www.152.org/bike.jpg

Where in Ca. are you ? When I called Nokia they found an authorized dealer just down the street from me. I'm in Culver City, a suburb of L.A.
Internal battery ?? Is that different than THE battery ? I don't think it's the battery. And if it WAS the battery, I woul buy another one rather than send my phone off.
Unless this "internal" battery is something else.
There was talk in another thread here of it being a capacitor issue. Charging every night for 4 or 5 days, take the battery out for 10 minutes, would bring the capacitor to discharge. I don't think it worked though.

I sent the phone off yesterday. It's going to take a week by ups ground. I gave them a zip in sacremento since i'm in fresno.
the internal battery is the part that remembers stuff. it's not remembering the call log of the fact you [do/do not] want to copy the SIM contacts.
hopefully they will have a firmware fix, but good luck trying to do it yourself. you'll probably have to ship it to nokia, or wait until cingular has phones that work.
