Camera Flash
Does anyone know how to disable the camera flash? I know you can go to options and disable it but everytime I press the shutter button a light briefly flashes. Im wondering if this is supposed to happen or mine has a bug.

Mine does the same.
Turn the flash off and it still lights a light unpon taking a pic. I think this is so people are aware when their picture is being taken. Big difference between the intensity of that light and the flash. I'll type more as soon as I can see again *lol*
I have my flash set to automatic. Haven't really noticed when it flashes or not. I assume on automatic it flashes only when needed, low light.

I read an artical that gave the flash really poor grades, but there has been a few times where I have had to turn it off because it was too bright! go figure!

Does anyone have a problem with the flash on the phone making the picture look weird. Whenever I use the flash and take a picture, the picture looks all weird and like a mosaic painting or something. I don't know if it's my phone, but I've tried it on another 6682 and the result is the same.

I took a LOT of pictures with it at a dart contest we had at work the other day. Quite a lot of them came out with that "mosaic" painting look. Others fine. I am thinking maybe has to do w/lighting. I have my flash set to auto. Also, the ones where the people were in motion seemed to have that weird look to them.

Wondering too, if it could be the effects of fluorescent lighting. Seems any pics I have taken outdoors or at home did not have that "look". And when I was taking the pics in the office, I don't think the flash was going off, again, on auto.

Are you looking at the pic right after you take it? Try looking at it in the Gallery. I took a pic of a signboard I wrote on to send to my Cing Rep & it looked real funny. Then i looked at it from the Gallery & it rocked.
