What's with this availablity.... almost two weeks ago I ordered it (from 3rd party, not cingular) and still no word when it will ship....

Ordered mine from Cingular on Tue Got here on Fri.

Yesterday it wasn't available at all from Amazon. Now they expect it to ship on November 14th.
Most of the Cingular stores are out, or never got any.
Cingular order-by-phone is backordered.
letstalk.com says they have them and will ship UPS 2 day within 24 hours of ordering. But they are chargin $149 with a 2 year contract. (Amazon is only $99 with the contract and mail in rebates. But Amazon won't port your phone number to Cingular. So if you try to port you'll lose the rebates.)
I called around local Cingular's and found one single helpful person who located one for me, but they want $310 for it. ARGH!!!
And still no one can tell me if eventually the phone will be supported for Cingular Cool Tools such as Mapquest Mobile.
