Hello,

I was wondering does the transfer speed of the memorey really make a difference? Do you really need to get the more expensive stuff or does it not make a diff???

Thanks for your help

According to this link, mobile MMC is supposed to be faster.

Kingston sells a dual voltage Mobile MMC that is compatible with the 6682. I have the 512MB version.

wOw 😲
I wasn't aware of the mobile mmc
If the tranfer rates are true, big difference
52mbs for the mmmc vs 2.5 for mmc

Sounds like it should bot be long for 1g to be available. I recently bought 1 512 mmc. Maybe I should wait for a 1g mmmc rather then get a 512 mmmc now.

Well, the mobile MMC goes that fast. The question is - does the phone support that speed? I don't know.

In Sept, I believe Samsung announced 1G dv RS-MMC, but I didn't see any availability dates.

This is true. So you are not using a mMMC ?

I am. The Kingston 512MB. But, I haven't done any comparison to the RS MMC that Nokia included with the phone. I never knew that the mobile MMC was faster until a couple days ago. (I've had the Kingston for a few weeks now.)
