Checking Email... data transfer

I'm wondering if anyone knows typically how many kb of data is exchanged when email is being checked with the 6682... even if no headers are downloaded.

Just wanting to know how much it might cost when I'm paying $0.01 per KB.

I wanna say I noticed once about 5k was sent when checking email. Not 100% sure though.
