Nokia 6682 / 6681
Stay or Get Out?
I just got my 6682 about 2 weeks ago. I know they took it off the market for a while and i've been having problems and i can't find a new one in any of the stores here. The manager gave me a guarantee that when the phone do come back i can exchange for a new one. So...do i stay and wait and hope the phone is better, or just get out now and get a different phone? Do you think the phone won't have as many problems as it already does? If i was to get a new phone, what would be a comparable phone to the 6682? Is the Sony s710 a good replacement?

first off..s710a does not even compare to the 6682..there is no comparison. i used the s710a for a while before getting the 6682. first s710a is not a smartphone and i can list alot of cons than pros for the s710a.
yes the 6682 has bugs like the call logs and copy to sim..well on my phone i only have the problem with the call log not the copy fron sim issue. other than that i have no other problems at all..i can live without having call logs plsu i dont power off my phoneat all unless necessary.
if the manager said u can exchange when the updated one comes out i would keep the one u have now and switch later. this phone is awesome. again DONT get the s710a that phone sucks

I had the s710 for 4 months. It makes a good paperweight LOL..RF on that phone was awful for me. Camera quality is great on that phone just as it is on the 6682. In certain lighting conditions the s710 was better and in other lighting conditions the 6682 is better. If the camera on the Sony is 100, then the 6682 is a 97. The mp3 player on the Sony is better, no question about that, but you are limited to a maximum of 128mb of add on memory. It has a bigger screen yes, but not all things are viewable in full screen (the videos were so SMALL). But for my money, the 6682, with the Symbian OS far outweighs the Sony so IMO the clear winner is the 6682 (if for nothing else, the great RF as opposed to the crappy RF of the Sony). yes icyhot is correct...the s710a had the worst RF, bluetooth didnt connect immediately like 6682. the EDGE in s710a is a joke..most times the connection to medianet was slow and didnt connect to sites at all i would have to reload it. 6682s class 10 EDGE is fast and i have no problem connecting to any sites and connects all the time so i know it wasnt the network. memory is 128mb max, swivel is annoying, its a size of a brick, speakerphone is not clear and volume level sucks. but like icyhot mentioned i think the camera is better on the s710a..not by much but better. and i think the screen size and the 262k display is better on the s710a.
