has anyone tried an unlocked 6681 with the cingular network? 6681 has gsm 900/1800/1900.

Not me personally, but a friend from the Miami area did for about 2-3 months . It worked fine but lacking the 850 the reception was not as good as the 6682 he now has.

I am Charlyee's friend from Miami, and I no longer have the 6681 for the exact reason that Charlyee stated. The 1900 band is ok, but does not have the penetration ability that 850 does. When I was in my office by the airport in Miami, I would get 1 or 2 bars. In addition, after Hurricane Wilma, the 1900 band was down for days, which affected all T-Mobile and Cingular as well. Go with the 6682. Thanks Charlyee!
