New 3g sim fix??
ok..after getting the new 3g sim card i havent had any erased call logs or copy to sim messages. ive tested it by turning off and on and even leaving it off for a while and back on and all my call logs r still there and no copy to sim messages...maybe a fix? i hope so ...so far so good.

The one I ordered yesterday from Cingular has the sim listed as "Sim-64K 410 Single UICC" How can I tell what this is?

it should say "3g" on the sim card .. anyways i tested my phone and at first it wouldnt show any of the symptoms but yesterday it did erase the call logs and got the copy to sim message so the 3g sim card is NOT a fix. thats why i did a warranty exchange.

The 3G SIM is "BLUE" in color on the front of the sim, it'll say "3G" on it in the blue color........ I have noticed, at least in my area, that this sim "negatively" impacts reception/signal strength in certain areas where the older 64k (regional) card had better signal and reception...... When I let someone give me a 3G sim, my signal strength was cut in 1/2 to "NO SIGNAL" in these areas..... I got my hands on another regional 64K sim (cingular network is actually 3 networks 310 west region, 170 cenral region 150 eastern region), and the signal went back to what I was used to seeing.... so before you upgrade to the new 3G SIM, you may want to investigate this with one of your buddies SIMS......put it in your phone and see if the above holds...
