Nokia 6682 / 6681
New firmware version 6682 from LetsTalk.com?
We know that the 6682 with new firmware is now available from Cingular.
Has anyone out there actually received a 6682 from letstalk.com with the new firmware?
Letstalk is selling the 6682 for $149, but no one there can confirm that the phone contains firmware version 4.6.2. (The only other data point is argon345's post on Dec 20th where he had just received a 6682 from letstalk with the old firmware.)

I purchased this phone and received it today (12/30/05). I received this phone with V 4.62.0 / 28-10-05 / RM-58.

Just out of curiosity, what color was the phone from letstalk.com? I got mine from them a couple weeks before hand and it was pearl white (with old firmware) I just noticed the one on the cigular website is silver??

It is my understanding that the "pearl white" phones ARE unbranded (not specifically cingular), with no cingular software on them, which was the suspected culprit, concerning the call log/ copy contacts to sim / 64k sim support issues.
If it is "truely" unbranded, it may probably be "unlocked" meaning you could put a T-mobile or AT&T sim in it and it would still work.....
If you do this, please let us know your results....

A guy i work with has t-mobile so I will try his sim card and report back.
Has anyone else received one from letstalk.com with the new firmware? Would like to know because i'm thinking about taking advantage of the 30-day exchange period to get a phone with the newer firmware. Also if i'm not having any problems is it even worth trying to upgrade??

Is it branded with the cingular logo or does it have anything cingular on it such as software or background images etc..?? Thanks!!

The case has Cingular logos on camera cover and below the screen. The phone, unlike MPX220 starts without any Cingular Logos etc. It has a Cingular default theme, that can be changed to Nokia theme or two others.

I ordered it on 12/23. Cingular ran a credit approval and I received the phone on 12/30. Now - I was already with Cingular, so I do not know, but it might have helped to speed it up.
The interesting thing is that I put my original SIM (not the one shipped with the phone) in the 6682 and it works under the original contract with Cingular.....
