Letstalk migration issues?
tkuheJan 5, 2006, 8:03 PM
Does anyone know if is possible to keep an old att number when buying the 6682 from letstalk? I have been waiting a while for this phone and don't want to pay the $299 to cingular.
Are there any other issues with getting this phone and service from letstalk or amazon?
Thanks.

I purchased 6682 from letstak last week and Cingular sent me a new telephone number long with a contract without asking me what I need. I had to return a phone since they did not want to give me the phone for my current contract or the number (I had eight months left on my original contract).

So did you return your phone?
It doesn't seem like it is possible to keep your number if you buy your service through letstalk which is really a bummer considering the 6682 is half the price at letstalk.

I ordered a family plan from letstalk.com and got a Nokia 6682 and a silver RAZR (for the girlfriend) - with 2 lines of service. I got the RAZR for free (after rebates) and the Nokia for 6682. Sorry but I am not paying a ****ty "migration" rate of $249. Ridiculous.
Yesterday I called AT+T business customer service, and told them I had recently added 2 new lines of service, and that I wanted to merge 1 of them with my curre...
