Sony Ericsson Z520 / Z525
Perhaps a new one for Cingular?
I hope so!
It's a shame more people don't recognize good products when they see them. SE has the best phones out there by far. The UI may be slow from time to time, but the usability and interface capabilities (BT, Lotus sync, etc) are unmatched by the other wannabees.
🤣

SE doesn't exactly have a sterling reputation for quality. The company has a history of producing handsets with annoying glitches and other hardware issues. I can name four other manufacturers (LG, Samsung, Nokia, Sanyo) that offer what I consider to be far more reliable handsets.
Sony Ericsson produces much better quality phones that LG and Samsung. I don't feel like my phone is going to break in half (LG) and that annoying hissing sound and the low volume (Samsung) are nowhere to be heard when I'm using my phone. SE has the best reception I've ever experienced in a phone, next to Nokia.
I'd rank SE phones at the top of the brands-to-consider list. The s710 and the z500 are solid, feature packed phones. Maybe you're trapped in the mindset of older SE models?
If SEs are bad, what does that make Motorola?

Hey, no offense RUFF, but I don't think I've ever disagreed with one of your statements more vehemently. Sorry.
As far as CDMA is concerned SE sucks big time.
As far as GSM goes, LG phones seem to suck.
However, if you take a CDMA LG phone and a GSM SE phone, you'll more often than not find that they are some of the best in thier class.
Samsung is just good all the way through.

the only thing the 1300i adds is yahoo instant messanger, i still will not sell this phone. I tell people that the samsung x427 is a much better phone for the same price.
Um, well, your statement is semi-correct. The 1300i changed the layout of the keys on top, and they changed it from a dual-band to a tri-band.

Actually, his statement has a small grain of truth to it. (but only just)

Maybe we should clarify what we're talking about: In terms of hardware quality, I'd take any of the four manufacturer's handsets over a SE.
Sony Ericsson's have given me the greatest satisfaction out of all the phones I've used.
Hey, to each his own.
