Sony Ericsson Z520 / Z525

we finally got our z520! found it at best buy this weekend. they'd only had it a day or so, and didn't even have a pricing card out yet. we checked at cingular, but they don't have it yet and they told me it would be at least 3-4 more weeks before they did.

best buy has it priced at $99 for a phone upgrade with existing service, or $49 with a new 2-year agreement for cingular.

i'm happy to report that it's very small and lightweight. feature-rich, and so far it's everything i've ever wanted in a phone...but we're trading for our 2-year-old nokia freebie bricks, so that's maybe not saying much.

I dont know. this phone looks too much like the z500, which is really a bad phone, both have the tiny screen, both are huge. Really the only Sony Ericsson I have been happy with is the S710a

I work for a Cingular agent and I have noticed that on my new rebate sheet Cingular is offering a $50 rebate on the z520. Its not currently being sold in my market. Does anyone know which market cingular is selling these phones?

why would they go from edge on the Z500 to GPRS on the Z520????

makes no sense...y would cingular want it if it doesnt support edge...maybe the american version will???

Quick question for any who know the answer. I currently have the sony ericsson z500a and I've only had it for about 2 months. Is it possible that I can switch to the z520 via warranty xchange or insurance if I come up with really good story?

I hope so!

It's a shame more people don't recognize good products when they see them. SE has the best phones out there by far. The UI may be slow from time to time, but the usability and interface capabilities (BT, Lotus sync, etc) are unmatched by the other wannabees.

This is a supposed upgrade. To me it looks like it's very similar to the Z500a, it even has the same crappy VGA camera!! 🙄

This thing looks like the Siemens CF63/CF62. Why would SE (Which usually makes beautifull phones on their own) make the phone look basically exactly like a Siemens phone.

😁 Does anyone know the exact day this will come out or what Carriers will have it?I like this phone it is neat.It has light effects around the keypad and you can change the rythum of the light effect.This phone is small(A plus),great features,and made by SE(A plus).Much betta than the SE z500 and all Kyoceras.I ope cingular gets this phone.I will get it. 😁
