internet problem
i got my 8125 from cingular a few weeks ago, and i was wondering if anyone is haveing problems pulling up the phonescoop website from their device. i am unable to pull it up from GPRS and using the wifi.

I have the T-Mobile MDA amd I was told there is a bug they are working to fix. Basically, they are saying that no one who has the phone can connect to the internet with this phone.
I hope it gets fixed before my 14 day trial period because the phone is great otherwise.

Are you talking about the T-Mobile MDA only? Cause I get online just fine with GPRS and WiFi with my Cingular 8125 all the time...
As far as Phonescoop goes, haven't tried yet, but it sounds like an incompatibility with the browser and the particular website.

I don't use GPRS to get online (no data plan) but WiFi works just fine. I haven't tried logging into the site, but I'm able to browse it just fine, perform searches, etc.

Yeah - it's just a bug with the T-Mobile MDA or at least the connection to the internet. I had to call and get a trouble ticket, but now everything works perfectly.
I am surprised at how fast the EDGE connection is. As long as this works well from this point on, I can wait around for a while before 3G or better comes to T-Mobile. Since I don't want to watch TV or do large downloads, it is perfect for what I need - email, driving directions, news, sports scores, etc... 😁
