I setup my adelphia account on the phone. But can't send emails out. I have no clue what i'm doing wrong my old SX66 used to do the same thing with my Bellsouth client. I just figured i dropped the SX66 to many times. I can recieve the email just fine. but when it goes to send i get a message that says

got it to work. thanks a lot dude. what i did was delete the account and start over. i also noticed that when it prompts you to download messages now the first attempt won't work. but the 2nd will. people should keep this in mind too. i found this great source on cingulars site.

hey man, didn't want to bring this out, but if you work for cingular this info will be found in csp. look for device tutorials, you'll c all the phones cingular supports. I work for them too. nyc. csp has anything u need from cingular, cingular.com is useless at times to find the right info.

are you able to go online on the cell? if so, then your internet settings are ok. if not make sure that you are using the media net settings. what you need to do then is make sure that your provider is pop or imap enable. some server require secure connection, make sure you also enable it. gmail, for instance, is like this. For the outgoing server you can always use the company's cwmx.com server. If this does not work, i'd suggest doing a system reset, make sure u back up your data first. good luck man!!

How are you getting Gmail to work? I have the T-Mobile MDA, but setting up the phone should be the same, right? When I configure my Gmail account, my messages disappear from my phone after I do a send/receive...

Im not familiar w/ the tmobile model, but the setting should be the same. im using gmail and don't have this issue. This sounds like a software issue. When the treo 650 for cingular came out, it had a similar issue that it would reset or freeze. It was fixed w/ a software upgrade. The temporary solution was to change sim cards. I don't know if the tmobile one is having this issue, but try getting in touch w/ their care department.
