Skype with MDA?

Has anyone tried using Skype mobile with the MDA? I have tried with little success on 2 different networks. The person on the other end seems to hear me fine, but they come back completely garbled to me. Just wondering.

I went to skype's website and their requirements are more on the processor than what the 8125 has. Haven't messed with it to see but figured it wasn't worth a try. I'm not sure if the MDA has any more hp in the processor but you may wanna double check. That could be why the garbled. Still cool that you could be heard though. Maybe a few tweaks could get it working anyway? 😁 I'll see what I can come up with on my end.

I got it to work flawlessly.... you will have to overclock the processor though.

You do this buy downloading a program called omapclock Just google "overclock MDA" or "overclock HTC Wizard". You will find the download.

You simply select the speed to overclock it to.... I use 240mhz. Anything over this and the device will reset. Best part about this is you turn it on...use Skype, then once you put your device in standby it will go back to the default 195mhz.

If you use skype at the default speed it will be dealyed about 3 seconds on PC to PC calling, and about 30 seconds on VOIP to land lines.

Good luck
