I have been using a moto v60 on verizon and a t mobile sidekick forever. Need the sidekick AIM for work and needed the verizon service for the phone. I have finally found the phone I need in the 700w and it is awesome.

But I have a problem. I found out yesterday that if I download an AIM aplication and started to use it I will have to pay PER AIM MESSAGE SENT...The nice think about the sidekick is you can log on and type away no problems no extra fees. I figured unlimited data on verizon ment just that, but it doesn't. It means unlimited data except messages (which makes no sense to me)

So my big question is does anyone know of an internet based AIM client aplication so i can get around the per message charge. I use AIM for work ...

the aim client i have installed goes over the internet... not txt message. Unless verizon filters your data being sent over EVDO how can they tell the difference from AIM convo or u surfing pr0n.com?

I think this will solve your problem. The product is called IM+. I am pretty sure it uses the standard Internet (i.e. covered by the data plan).

Go to Handango.com and search on IM to see all the products for WM.

I saw this IM+ the other day but i thought it would be an application that would run on your system and there for cost you messages. Is this not the case? Does it work off of the web browser?

Any application you install should use the regular net and not cost you. The only thing that costs per message is the Mobile IM that comes on phones. I read that the MSN Messenger that comes on this device uses IP and not per message.
