Motorola Q

i broke my screen on my Q and now have a new one. Is there anyway I can sync my numbers from phone to phone without being able to see one of the screens?

i have a verizon q, but i have sprint service... is there anyway to change it to sprint???

My Q with Verizon service is over a year old. It is suddenly having the following problems:

When turned on it sometime freezes before completing start up. When this happens after I remove and replace the battery it will completely start up.

It occassionally turns itself off.

When I active synch it to my PC using Bluetooth I get the following error message "Critical communications services have failed to start. Try resettin the mobile device, and then connect again", however the phone does continue to complete the synchronization.

A short time ago the following error report appeared on my Q "A problem has occurred with device.exe". It has appeared only once.

Any advise on what the problems are and how they can be corrected? ...

Has anyone tried to upgrade the Operating System to Windows Mobile 6?

I have seen releases for other phones but not for the Q. Any idea how the new versions is? And how do we upgrade?

Whenever I reply to certain e-mails, I get an e-mail back rejecting the sent message and saying that the e-mail address I am sending to does not exist. However, it clearly exists because I can reply to the same e-mail on my computer... any idea as to what is going on? This only started happening recently as I was able to respond to those e-mails from my phone before.

When ever I transfer videos to my phone they're always like 1"x 1/2" even if I'm playing it on full screen. They fill the screen on my computer, they're 352x240pixel mpegs. Any ideas?

How does it work? Is it worth it? The fact that you can't edit Office documents on the Q is the only thing holding me back from purchasing it. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

So I read about www.mapforpda.com recently. Some people have had issues installing it and others love it. Has anyone here installed/used it?

Okay, so once again, I tried to convert my itunes music and put it on a memory card for my Q (since I can't seem to make a decision on which phone to buy right now! 😢 )

I see that there is a similar post to this but I wanted to just ask for help in putting ringtones/songs onto my Q. I cannot figure out how to convert my songs in windows media player into mp3s and then put them on the memory card. A verizon rep told me that the easiest way is to use Windows Media Player but for some reason, I can't figure it out . Anyone have the time to help?

I had my Q replaced 3 times in the last 30 days due to reception issues and they replaced it for a brand new Treo 700wx free of charge under a warranty replacement. I'm so freaking excited.

Does anyone have an opinion in regards to the Q versus the Treo 700 wx reception wise?

I just got the Q and am wondering about my data options.

Currently I am in on a family share plan (I'm not the main line) and all I have seen on VZW.com is single line data plans.

Is there anything I could add to my plan to be able to get the Internet on my Q? Kind of like now I pay $10 or however much extra a month to get texts and so on..

Okay my question is this... I have Alltel and I am thinking about buying a Q...I want to check my email but I have no interest in using the blackberry service or paying the extra $44.95 a month...The Q can check normal POP email accounts by simply logging in and downloading the email like any other client...Do I really need anything other then mobile web to be able to do this? I am okay with having it use the internet once an hour for like 2 minutes to check an email account. This is feasible right?

The modem driver for the Motorola Q only exists for Windows XP and Windows 2000. Does anyone have any idea when a driver for the Vista operating system may be available?

Can it be done?

I just can't figure out how to put ringtones onto my Q. I know that I need to buy some kind of a sd card but since I am awaiting the release of the Razr 2, I didn't want to spend too much money.

Will the razr 2 have the same type of storage devivce card? Then it would be most worth it to buy now.

ANY help and step by step instructions on how to get music/ringtones to my Q , I'd appreciate it.


Also, can I use my songs from ITUNES to put as ringtones?
