LG Fusic / LX-550

hello everyone - here's my dilemma ... I own an LG Fusic/LX-550 device and I want to convert mp3 files into ringtones. I've found some good advice on your site about using the "Sprint Mobile Broadband for Phone as Modem" drivers to get the LG device detected through the USB cable it came with, and some good advice for using the BitPim application. I have both, but I cannot get it to work ... I have the MSL for my phone if this becomes important. My problem is that the information I found posted here doesn't match my device which is activated on CDMA (Bell Mobility in Canada). Any ideas?

For example, in BitPim in the root folder, I do not see the MelodyComposer folder ... I'm sure if I could find this, I could easily overwrite these new fi...

Do i need to buy a USB Reader/Writer to add my music to my phone. ive connected the USB cord to the bottom of my phone and my PC recognizes the phone as a modem. The phone came with a 64mb card and a little thing to put the card in, but i have no idea how to get it hooked up to my computer.

I recently linked my phone with my computer and tranferred all my pics/videos onto my CPU. The video files were not known so I opened the with WMP. They play but no sound. Does anyone know what to do???

I have had this phone for about month and I love it, but how can I transfer music downloaded from my IPod to a ringtone?

I am aware that the fusic has A2DP profiles for playing music over a bluetooth connection... Are you only able to do it through a Stereo bluetooth, or any standard Mono (one speaker) bluetooth? Thanks!!

I am trying to set-up autoplaylists in Windows Media Player 11 so that I can automatically sync podcasts to my wife's Fusic. I download podcasts automatically using Juice. I have set-up autoplaylists in WMP 11 to filter out just the podcast she wants. I sync through the mass storage device on the Fusic and only the files I want are automatically synced to the Fusic. Everything works automatic and great so far. The only problem is the files are synced to the music folder rather than the media folder. Thus I cannot see the podcasts in the Fusic Media player. I know I can copy and paste them from the music folder to the media folder and then see them all but that is not automatic. Does anyone know how through either Windows Media player 11, Jui...

I have the LG Fusic LX550. I've used programs like QPST and Bitpim only to preview folders and documents in the phone. Is there anyway I can unlock the nvm folder using ASC write program or any other program? I already have my MSL # im just looking to unlock the NVM so I can manually add .jad and .jar programs. I've read through a lot of forums and threads only to find tutorial on editing nvm folders on other phones. Any way to unlock the nvm of the fusic specifically??? 😳

Has anyone tried a 2GB micro-SD card? I know the specs say 1GB max, but sometimes specs are wrong. 😁

I send/receive about 3,000 text messages a month so text functionality is so important to me and I am considering this phone. Any input would be appreciated....

*How many text messages can the phone hold in your inbox and outbox?
* How many text messages can you select and send at the same time?
* Also, has anyone else ever gone from a blackberry or pda (keyboard) to this phone and how does it compare in terms of speed to type a message?
* Can you sync your phone to your computer so you won't lose your contacts if something happens to your phone?

I've finally been able to get music on my phone, I took one of my CD's and was able to get that on there no problem. Now I've been trying to get some downloaded music on, and can't !!! My question is this, I downloaded a few songs from walmart just to try and see if they would work............they don't. I get the songs on my phone but they won't play. Are you able to put downloaded songs on this phone ??

Where is the best place to get MP3s to transfer to the phone.? I was able to download older songs from itunes but any that are mp4s will not play on the phone. Other than getting them from a cd, where is the easiest place to get songs that work on this phone?

wtf?! I just got my phne and am trying to DL songs into it, and it is saying that the card is full. It only let me put 11 songs in it!? Did anyone else have this problem? 👿

Anyone know how to use the phone as modem feature w/o having to pay the additional $40/mo ??? It really bugs me that power vision gets you EVDO speeds but then they want more $$$ to use what you are already getting (albeit in much larger chunks...)
