LG CU500
Recorded voice as ringtone
Thanks!
2. Transfer the recording to a PC
3. Convert the recording to an MP3 file (do a Google search for software that can do that)
4. Transfer the new .mp3 file to the phone
If you use Bluetooth to move files from and to the phone, step 1 is not required.
... if we already have the ability to make an MP3 file on our computer, do we need to start with a phone recording? For that matter, one of the Reviews states that WAV file also works, which every Windows user can make. I'm assuming a mic is on hand for the PC of course.
You've got me thinking about using a sound program to make an actual "phone like" ringtone... and I'm wondering if making it go louder to softer could compensate for the graduated ring volume, a "feature" I would prefer to defeat. (Why miss half your ring when you *know* you're in a noisy place, or the phone is buried, requiring more time to get to it????)

No, you don't.

That should work.
