Motorola RAZR V3m

I am expecting to receive mine today. I already have the mini usb cable and I downloaded MPT last night. Has anyone used the v3m as modem for the laptop using USB cable. I know there's no chance in using DUN with bluetooth in most of Verizon's BT capable phones.

Thanks for any response on this as I have to have DUN. I currently have a VX4500 and use it for emergency when I have to vpn to my LAN at work.

Does anyone know of any holsters that are designed to fit with the extended life battery installed?

I would love some input on which is a better phone choice here...

I have the LG VX-7000 that finally gave way to my beatings after 2 years. My phone serves as both a professional and personal phone.

I must have a good speaker phone and excellent call quality. I like the slim and light RAZR, but have not heard great things...

As for the LG I have been very happy with the performance of my 7000 and expect the same from the 8300.

I jus ordered my V3m from Verizon .. but i have a question.. can u send e-mail from it? Like Picture attachment to a Yahoo or MSN e-mail address?

And I also have the text, picture, video bundle with 500 messages.. so if I send a e-mail from it.. will I have to pay more (how much)? or picture e-mail is included in the text, picture, video bundle?

Trying to transfer phonebook from V710 to new silver V3m. Using a cable from my Canon S30 camera, WinXP detects and installs Moto modem. MPT cant detect the phone. Me doing something wrong or cable NG ???? PS plugged directly to back of PC and latest MPT

Quick question. What's the difference between the micro vs miniSD? I still have the miniSD from my v710 and it works fine with my V3m. Granted, I cannot pull up the midi ringtones that I have on it from the last phone but all the pics are still there. Am I supposed to be using a different memory card?

Can XM Radio be streamed on the V3M?

the geniouses at howards forum are working hard on seem edits to get this phone working the way it should. i may soon purchase this phone after all. only time will tell my friends 🤨

I am not alone in finding it impossible to get the V3M to hook up via Windows Media Player 10.0. http://forums.wirelessadvisor.com/verizon-wir eless-users/54510-razr-v3m-3.html has an entire group who have problems, with just one person getting it to work.

I am pretty computer sophisticated, so if I cannot do it there is definately a problem with Music Essetials deeper than poor instructions.

Anyone have a clue as to how to get WMP to recognize the V3M. Anyone have a clue why the Verizon software says the drivers are loaded, buyt Windows Device Drivers show not installed?

I got to take a look at the adaptor, and try it out on a phone with my wired Plantronics MX-505 wind blocking headset.
It worked flawlessly.
The adaptor has a mini usb plug, a cord which leads out upward, about 2.5" long and a 'dongle' type end with the 2.5mm receptacle in it. This part is housed in an eliptical piece, about 1.5" long,3/4" wide flat on one side and rounded on the other. it could be doubleback taped to the back of the phone. I didn't get to try it out with a set of stereo headphones to see if it works with them.

Some may ask why would you care about a wired headset when Bluetooth is available. Well, Bluetooth headsets just don't seem to compare to wired headsets in many applications....

the phone online is $69.99 - ($100 NE2) Should make the phone free. When I try and upgrade to this phone it tells me I owe $20. ($120 phone- $50 online discount- and only 50 dollar from my NE2)

Anyone know why it is only taking off 50 dollars and not 100 for NE2?

Is the UI the new and better Flash UI or is it still the regular old and ugly Verizon UI?

Aside from the color are the keypads the same on the dark gray and silver phones?

Just got a new Razr v3m from Verizon. Had it one day. The sound did not work from the begining. I could barely hear the call confirming. I have to use the speakerphone to hear anything. Volume is almost non existant but every once in a while it returns to normal for a few seconds. I was on with Verizon for 28 minutes before they said they would send me a new one. First they wanted me to drive somewhere where the had a tech and then they wanted me to wait for a mailer send in the phone and wait for the replacement. I had to tell them how to do it.

does this work? If so can anyone recommend a good one? I was looking at the Iriver AFT-100. The MP3 feature works great on my phone, I was just worried that if I buy a transmitter for my car stereo it may not convert the audio to 2 channels.

IF you are looking for a case or car charger for your Razr, I suggest going with Motorola and not verizon. Better quality with motorola. Can find it at Best buy amoung others.

i am thinking about the v3m, and will use the bluetooth headset... i know vz site said the talk time is about 200 minutes, i am not sure if that is with the bluetooth turned on or not?

what is the normal battery time with bluetooth burn on from like, 10am to like 7 or 8pm??

will it last that long? let say with talk time about 20 minutes per hour between 10am to 8pm?

All I want to do with this dumb phone is be able to make my own ringtones. I don't like the tones verizon has to offer. Has anyone tried the motorola phone tools software or mobile action ma8870 software? Will it allow me to make my own ringtones? Can anyone come up with a way to use the micro id card to make ring tones. I am so disapointed in my phone. Somebody tell me some good news about it. Why should I like this phone?
