Motorola RAZR V3m

Is this the directory I can save ringotnes to on my Micro SD card and my V3m will be able to see them as ringtones?

\motorola\shared\ringtone

Or do I put them in another one? I see that my pictures where put in just the root directory.

In an attempt to copy MP3 files to my daughters RAZR phone I bought a bluetooth USB dongle for my PC. I was able to get the computer to reconize the phone and the phone the computer via bluetooth. I then simply did a drag and drop from the pc to the phone via windows explorer. At somepoint it stopped copying the files but didn't give me any error (it just looked like the copy happened really quick). When I tried to figure out how to delete the files I couldn't. There appeared to be some sort of music player. However, when I tried to start it I got a message saying there was no memory card. Now, I watched the sprint girl put it in at the store, so I'm thinking it has to be there. But when I take the back off of the phone I can't seem ...

Is there a way to turn the low battery alert off? My old phone didn't do that, and now this one does and it's kind of annoying.

I have a new V3m. I purchased a 2gig Kingston microSD card.

The phone sees it as unformatted. When I try to format it in the phone it states that is has failed.

How can I get it to work with the phone? Is the card too big for the phone?

Anyone know if its possible to put ringtones I make or that someone sent me on my US Cellular phone? (which is a WAY better provider than VZW) I've tried putting a friends memory card w/ songs saved to it in my phone and nothing....i've tried bluetooth, nothing.....i've tried the data cable, nothing...

what the hell does a person have to do w/ this piece of crap verizon product to get ringtones w/o giving verizon more money?

Is there a site that has information for a new owner of the V3m from Verizon Wireless?

For example,

1) how to add ring tones if possible
2) send pictures/videos to a pc without sending them as a message
3) change/add wallpapers, etc.

What is the max size that the memory size that my new phone will take?

Will it take the 4gig card and see the full size?

Or is there a limit as to what it will take?

I just got my Razr V3M phone. Not sure yet if I like it. I am having more problems figuring it out than any phone I have ever had. Any how for my question. I downloaded a song for my ringtone. When I go to set it as default I get this error: Your phone if out of file space, error 1112. What exactly does this mean and how can I get this ringtone so that I can use it as a ringer ID?

Thank goodness for this forum. I have a feeling I will be here a lot until I get use to this phone.

I have a few questions about my phone that I just got- well I have more than a few questions, but I will only ask two of them in this post. My service provider is Verizon, but my phone is was purchased from Alltell.

1.) I have an indicator at the top of my screen that looks like a speaker w/ a line through it and it is a grey/blue color. There is the battery meter, the indicator telling me if my phone is in silent, vibe or ringer and there is there is the icon in question. I can't seem to figure out what it is for or how to get rid of it.

2.) When I send a text message I receive a message back that tells me that my message was delivered. I can't get this to stop. I have only have the phone for less than a week, but I don't think it has...

Is there a way you can shut off the sound the phone makes when you power on or off - without turning the volume off completely?

I just got my RAZR today and wanted to play some of my MP3's right away. First off, I'm not a huge music person, so what I do to get songs is do a web search, and if I can't find them there I just download youtube music videos and extract the audio from them to avoid paying for them. I don't know if this will affect my not being able to see the files on my razr.

Now... I put the card in the phone so it could create the correct folders, and took it out and stuck it in my computer. There was a folder called my_music, so I suspected that was what I'd put my MP3's in. I did, turned the phone on and it said there was no music.

What am I doing wrong? I have Vista Premium 32 bit, and I'm pretty sure a RAZR V3m (the ebay auction said it was V3...

I'm due for new equipment and am currently using my V710. I'm considering either the KRZR K1m or the RAZR V3m right now. Both would be free, however, the RAZR requires only a 1 year commitment while the KRZR would require a 2 year commitment. RAZR is free while the KRZR would be free after the NE2 plan.

Can some people chime in and comment on the differences and similarities of the two? Does both phones allow you to set different rings for different entries (phonescoop comparo says the RAZR doesn't have that feature)....how about playing mp3s....would the RAZR play them too (not that I plan on doing a lot of it)...can both phones be "modded" the same way to set your own ringtowns...reception/clarity...etc.

i can't remove the micro SD card. the 64mb card is in there and i want to remove it because i bought a 1GB micro card and want to replace it.

my dad has the same phone and i was able to remove the card and put it back in without any problems.

has anyone else encountered this? how do i remove it to replace it?

i have a question.... whats the max. amount of memory u can use in the razr v3m? i want to get a 2gb but im not sure if it can handle it or not...

🤭 Ok..I apologize for my stupidity on this. But I have tried several times to email myself files in attachments and I cannot view them or anything. I have read on this forum that people have emailed pictures and mp3's and what not to themselves and used them as ringtones and wallpaper. I have tried sending it to yahoo mail too and nothing. What the heck am I doing wrong? And I thank you in advance for not making me look too dumb. 😉

I recently purchased the v3m from verizon but I cant seem to get it to be recognized with any software such as MotoKit, Bitpim or even P2k. I did get the Moto driver installed and it will even charge my phone but the other softwares just say there is no phone connected. Any help would be appreciated. 🙂

Hi, I'm trying to get my daughter's Razr V3m to sync with my laptop to put some mp3's on it for her.
I've bought the "music essential" from Verizon, installed it, Used a driver tool that I found on another part of this forum, it removed old drivers and installed new ones.
Still...Windows Media cannot find a device to sync to.
It sees it as a modem, it successfully installed drivers, it says and it shows in device manager as a modem.

Also, I converted the files to .WMA on my XP machine, put them in the My music folder on her card, replaced it, rebooted and it says "no music"

I cannot find the flash drive menu anywhere in my v3m. According to the book, it says to go to tools and settings, then system, then device infor then storage devices... i dont even have the settings and tools... however i do have the settings menu, but no system, device info, storage devices... whats the deal? anyone else have this problem?

So I've had a Verizon Razr V3m for about a year and recently I have been noticing that the lag when navigating menus and text messaging is becoming intolerable. It's definately gotten worse the last couple months and it can be as bad a 4 or 5 seconds between pressing a button and the action going through. Totally annoying. Anyone have similar problems? Work arounds? Is this the phone or the service?

I have had the V3m with Verizon for almost a year now. I haven't had any problems with the phone up until about 3 weeks ago. I came home, tried to charge my phone and an "Unauthorized charger" error came up, and my phone would not charge. I just kept trying and unplugging the charger from the outlet and such until it finally worked.

It was charging fine for a while, but now the phone/charger is acting up AGAIN. What is this "Unauthorized charger" problem and how do I fix it? Please help!
