Motorola RAZR V3m

Pardon me if this is an old topic....did a search but didn't readily find anything.

I'm on my third headset (two Moto hs850's and now a Logitech F-0399A) and they all need to be within six to 12 inches of the phone to get good reception. When they are not this close, there is static whenever we talk. It's much worse when I put the phone in my pocket - any pocket. If I carry the phone in my hand and walk normally there is static....same if I clip the phone to my belt.

The Verizon customer service person told me the range is limited and it's pretty much line of sight. This is my first blue tooth experience and I can't believe that can be true.....

Is there anything that I can do other than use my wired headset?

I bought a 2.5mm headset from ebay and use the usb2jack adapter in the RAZR package to connect the headset to RAZR. Everything is fine expect that sometimes it generates annoying noise especially after a call.

Does anyone have similar experience and how to solve it?

hey lately i've been having problems with my phone. i will be talking for a while then all of a sudden i can't hear the other person anymore. i hear noises but its all muffled and kinda makes the person on the other end kinda sound like a robot (sorry best way to describe) and i cannot hear anything. the phone stays this way for like an hour then is fine when i make calls later. it doesn't happen every call but is becoming more frequent. it's not that i lose service because the bars are always full or nearly full. does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?

I have a Moto HS850 that I've come to realize sits in the wrong spot on my ear. It's manageable on my V3 but I can't hear with it on my V3M, partly because I think the person on the other end has a tendency to move the phone around a bit while talking.

So, I bought a Jabra wired in-ear headset but the wire is a PITA (not to mention sooooo lame 😉 ). I'm going to buy a new in-ear bluetooth headset and replace both.

Any thoughts? Plantronics Voyager 510? Jabra BT500? Another choice that has worked well?

Voice Activated Dialing does not work on my phone. Does anyone know how to turn this feature on?

I noticed that there is a USB-2-headset adapter in the v3m package. I also have a headset that works with this adapter but there is no switch-on/off button on this headset. I am wondering if I buy a new generic cord headset with control button, will it work (answer the phone with a button click, don't need to flip-on the phone)

Don't wanna jump into the bluetooth headset yet.

Does anyone use a particular exterior skin for the V3 razr they can recommend? One that doesn't leave a sticky residue when taken off.

OK, so someone found out on the a930 "https://www.phonescoop.com/phones/p_forum.ph p?fm=m&ff=880&fi=664905" that you can also unlock mp3's on the 930. i like the 930 alot, but i like the idea of the razor being slim and all. plus im a huge fan of motorola, call me a glutton for punishment haha

I can't move any file from PC to my v3m through bluetooth even I use the Motorola Phone Tools 4.0, but I can syncronize my phone book through my computer...I don't know what's the problem?? somebody has the same problem as mine?

I like a cell phone that i can answer it while i'm driving, with the flip closed, & talk on the speaker part. Will this Razr do this?

Does anyone know what the current software version is for the V3M?

I have the silver razr v3m and my phone doesn't display Verizon Wireless at the top of the screen, like i thought it was supposed to. I'm not saying it's a con, but it looks funny with that shaded bar across the screen where it normally said verizon wireless with nothing in it.

I am considering buying a RAZR but I just have one quick question about the texting caipability of this phone.

I don't knw why(I think its most likely because of the apparance of the buttons) but I have a feeling this isn't a great phone for those who text a lot.Is the keypad ok?I text a loooooot and thats a huge thing i'm taking into consideration in the purchase of my next phone.

I noticed a rattle on my phone, and the guy at the vzw store said it was buttons on the side.

Has anyone had a problem with the side buttons rattling on their V3m?

Just got a pink one a couple weeks ago and the phone is SO SLOW to react. I hit a button, and it takes like 2 whole seconds for it to register that I pressed anything! When I take a pic with the camera, I hit the shutter button, and have to hold the camera there for at least like 4-5 seconds until the shutter actually takes a picture! Any ideas? Just a bad phone?

There's been a lot of talk here about flashing the Verizon RAZR phone to Alltel, but no response on HOW TO DO IT!

Does anyone out there know how to do this??? From what I see on this forum, there's quite a few of us who'd like to try it! Please post a solution!

I was just wondering if the V3m has a Ring & Vib option. I have a Motorola v325 and it only has an option for one or the other. It's annoying when I have to change it depending on whether it's in my pocket or not.

I have a RAZR V3c with the .4 firmware. I am considering a new Mac laptop, and a friend mentioned that I might be able to use Bluetooth to connect the V3c to the Mac laptop and then get a data connection (via Verizon) to the Internet. Of course, this assumes I am paying Verizon for the Internet access via the phone.

Has anyone done this or seen this in action? I plan on stopping by the Verizon Wireless store too, but thought I'd ask here since I get inconsistent answers from Verizon Wireless (read: depends on the knowledge of the staff that day).
