few questions
I have a few questions im kinda new to the wifi biz.
the guy at cingular told me to use the wifi i have to pay the 45 a month data package. but my girlfriend who works for verizon said that in hot spots like panera bread, its free and you dont really need to buy the data package. can anyone clear this up for me please?
another question is... is it possible to set a ringtone to an individual caller, so when they call a certain song or tone can play?
thanks a lot, i appreciate any help

wifi is free, where locations allow it. you do not have to pay cingy to use wifi on phone. the only wifi plans that cingular has are for laptops.
if you want to use cingy's data services then you need a data plan but not for wifi.
2. go to contact and click edit...then scroll down to ringtone, and choose the ringtone you want to use.

Ringtone ID. The ringtone ID will only work on a contact that's ON THE PHONE, not one that is only on the SIM card.

so if wifi is free, i was wondering why the cingy rep i talked to said i had to get the unlimitted data plan for 39.99 for the pocket pc phones? i thought it was BS, but i dunno

yea they told me that too. then they tried to tell me that the blackjack had wifi. they just want their commission. greedy punks.

you dont need to pay cingy to use wifi. The only time you pay for wifi is at locations where they charge to get on their network.
