There's a tiny amount of free memory on the enV, maybe 25 megs? Enough for some snapshots and songs, but you'll probably find it's not enough, especially if you also download apps/games. Memory cards really aren't that expensive, especially on ebay.

yeah... but doesn't the enV take 2MP pics...? which is higher than the razr right?

Razr
Resolution: 1+ megapixel
Memory 30 MB (built-in, flash shared memory)

enV
Resolution: 2+ megapixel
Memory ?

From this site.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know how much free memory is in the razr, so I can't answer your question. But, a 256mb microsd card can be had from ebay for under $20 shipped, and that will give you way more free memory than the razr.

I guess I should clarify that by saying I'm assuming the razr you were talking about didn't have a microsd card in it.

The memory on my env says it has 30.3 available and the total used 15.4. I have nothing saved on the phone only the memory card and I just deleted all messages and call history.

Yeah, the total capacity of the 9900 is around 45 megs.
Currently I have:
17 megs of ringtones.
12 megs of games
full text in/out boxes and call list, calendar appt's, contacts, etc...
No pictures, movies or music stored on the Phone, there is no need... all of that goes onto my 2GB MicroSD.
The phone says that I have used 41.1mb
and only have 4.7mb free

About how many texts do you have in your inbox and outbox? cause I have a VX7000 right now and it holds on average... about 50 to 52 messages in the inbox and I don't think there's a limit that I've hit so far on the outbox... I was looking forward to NOT having to delete all of my messages (if and hopefully when) I get my enV... but guess not :-D

and I don't mean never delete my messages... but keep more than I have now... cause I like to keep some of them... and its a pain to keep deleting them just so I can get my new message...

Just set it to auto-delete your old messages, that way you never have to manually delete them. (yes, even on an LG vx8000, I think ๐Ÿ‘€ ) You can even lock messages and they won't be automatically deleted.
The limit for text messages on the enV is 50-in 50-out and I think pix/flix messages have the same limits: 50-inbox 50-outbox ๐Ÿคจ

nope its up to 64 now. I think what it is..... is that im very forgetful at deleting messages and my inbox gets 100% full when i receive a txt. i think each time that happens it lets me hold more. im proy wrong but thats my hunch
