Headset music volume?

tyldak

Mar 7, 2007, 7:31 PM
I have noticed that, when listening to music over the headset, that the music is very loud, even on the quietest volume setting. Changing master volume and earpiece volume seems to have no effect. I think I have read somewhere that this is a known bug and that it should be fixed in a firmware (or software?) revision at some point. Does anyone know when/if that will happen, and how are we notified when there is a new update?

Yep...I had the same problem....the trick??

Change the bitrate on your songs...I encoded my at 96kpbs and boom...no volume issue! How do you do this you ask? Well if you have the music essentials kit just go into your sync settings and manually override the quality settings..it will convert everything to a wma file at 96kpbs...if you use a micro sd card...go ahead and sync to the card and then go into the card and move the music into the my music folder..

hope this helps

What do you mean by "go into your sync settings"? I have the music essentials kit and I don't see any sync settings.

It's a setting in Windows Media Player 10. You need to go into the sync tab, and select option. There is another tab in the settings which allows you to designate which bitrate you would like to set the music at. I set mine at 64kpbs and I didnt even notice a difference(other than volume)...give it a shot
