plastic case from DD plus other things
My phone gets used pretty much the exact same way day in and out. I need to charge it about every other night. A couple times I started off the day with two bars in the morning and the phone powered off sometime during the day and this is without having used it at all by the time I noticed.
The last time I charged it I got FIVE days useage both in calls and alarms before I got down to two bars. I thought that was pretty odd, but I'll take that anyday.
The second thing I find weird is, if you pause too long dialing a number, the keyboard will lock up. Seems like if the phone is in the process of being used that this shouldn't happen. I know I could extend or turn off the key lock feature, but I have an existing pr...

I do, however know about the invisible shield you are talking about.
When I got mine a few months ago, the case came with the "cog" that fits into the belt clip already attached to the back of the case. I'm not sure if yours is off and you are trying to assemble it, or if you want to remove it like the one in this pic.

Basically the "Cog" goes into the square hole on the outside of the rear case, the small screw goes through the steel disc into the other side to attach the "cog" and the rubber disc covers the screw so It doesn't scratch the back of your phone. 🙄

Yeah I don't know what's up with those other two things, they just kind of irk me a little, but it's nice to have the case together! I had no clue what I was doing. The rubber piece threw me off because I was thinking it somehow got sandwiched between a coouple of the other parts to add tension to the swivel mechanism or something.
Seems like kind of a flimsy belt clip assembly and I hope it doesn't break, but if worse comes to worse maybe the plastic case will help stop the keys from being depressed if it will still fit in the leather holster with it on.
