Please help. Question about microsd, FREE ringtones,and wallpapers???
I just picked up 2 VX9900s last night for me and my wife. Very cool phones. Can someone let me know if a sandisk 2GB microSD card will work with this phone? I hear conflicting information.
Also where can I find FREE ringtones and wallpapers? Any good sites out there for this?
Can I just put MP3s or images on a microsd card and plug it in to my phone and use those files as ringtones?

yes the 2gb sandisk works, I just got mine and put over 300 songs on it.
You don't need a site, all you need is the usb cable and bitpim. If you go through the forum, you can see that question answered in detail.
Nope can't use your mp3s on your microsd as ringtones, but it is very easy to put the ringtones on your phone through bitpim

The easiest method to get wallpapers on your phone is to drag-and-drop them (using a card-reader) into the my_pix folder on your microSD card.

There is a debate about the "Easiest" method for ringtones. I recommend the SMS method, some say simply email yourself ringers, and others will swear that BitPim is the "Best" method.

For free ringtones, I just use the website Mobile17.com which allows you to take a 3o second clip of your current song any MP3 that you have on your computer and compress it and send it to your phone in a picture message. Then you just re-title the sound and save it to memory and set it as a ringer. I've done it multiple times already and it works and sounds great.
