I think it's the file. I've made many ringtones from the website & they all came in loud & clear. But, for some reason in the past week the ones that I sent to my phone all sound distorted. I thought it was my phone so I went & got it exchanged but the sound isn't any better. Hope this helps ๐Ÿ™‚

I told them that the sound when I received a msg or so, sounded distorted. I had sent a few of them. I honestly thought it was the phone at first. But, when my friend tried to send it to the replacement phone I received the sound wasn't any better. I had made many ringtones from the site before & never had this issue until this past week. They've all come in clear.

I was just trying to figure it out too. I have over 300 ringtones and none of them sound like this. I just tried making a new one and it sounds fine. then when i send it it sounds like i recorded it with the voice recorder. What the heck is going on. I thought it was my settings on wavepad. if anyone figures it out please let us know. .

There's no problem w/ the phone. I figured it only sounds distorted when you send it to your phone. A friend of mine had the same problem. I've exchanged my phone twice & the same thing occurs.

โ˜น๏ธ Sorry to say but there is nothing wrong with any of your phones they are all working properly the problem is verizon and their lockdown of all their services. The thing is i think you are limited to sending yourself up to 5 mp3 ringtones which sound nice and clear and once you keep sending yourself more verizon actually automatically converts your files to Qcelp or also known as .qcp which is a highly compressed audio file developed by qualcomm and it sounds like crap because it is highly compressed it is made with the program called Purevoice but i wouldnt recommend making this format for ringtones but unfotunetly you are stuck buying from get it now which what verizon wants you to do if you want good quality ringtones โ˜น๏ธ but anyone kno...

Bypass Verizon's interference with your ringtones by NOT sending them over the airwaves, and simply use BitPim to load your ringers. ๐Ÿ‘€

I understand i was trying to use bitpim but unfortunetly i have the Software update on the phone to version 2 that blocks bitpim out. Bitpim needs to come up with an update that unlocks that feature so i can use it again. Anything verizon gets their hands on is locked for their benefit. thats the way it is the most reliable network but the one that screws their customers out of their pockets in every aspect.

You don't use a conversion Program at all. ๐Ÿคจ
Simply use your Windows File Explorer (My Computer) to change the extension on the file from ".mp3" to ".mid" that's all. ๐Ÿ˜
