Software Upgrade and Music Essentials Kit
I contacted Verizon and received the following response concerning the compatibility of the V02 Software and the Music Essentials Kit. They say that I would have to buy a new Music Essentials Kit. What a racket.

I spoke with a Technical Support Representative who advised that Software Version 1 and Software Version 2 are not compatible with the same Music Essentials Software. Totally BS, if the rep knew anything, they would know that the "music essentials software" is simply the USB drivers and Windows Media Player. I haven't heard anything from anyone about their USB cable or BT connection not working after the update to v.02. Or, not being able to Sync music. 🤨
This smells like a Verizon ploy to get another 600 nickels (or 300 dimes) from each of their customers that fall for this nonsense. 👀
