Software Upgrade and Music Essentials Kit

I contacted Verizon and received the following response concerning the compatibility of the V02 Software and the Music Essentials Kit. They say that I would have to buy a new Music Essentials Kit. What a racket.

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless through our website. My name is Adrian, and I am happy to assist you regarding the new software version for the LG VX9900.

I apologize for any confusion this has caused. I spoke with a Technical Support Representative who advised that Software Version 1 and Software Version 2 are not compatible with the same Music Essentials Software. If you upgrade to Software Version 2, you will need to purchase a new Music Essentials Kit.

🤣 BS 🤣
Totally BS, if the rep knew anything, they would know that the "music essentials software" is simply the USB drivers and Windows Media Player. I haven't heard anything from anyone about their USB cable or BT connection not working after the update to v.02. Or, not being able to Sync music. 🤨
This smells like a Verizon ploy to get another 600 nickels (or 300 dimes) from each of their customers that fall for this nonsense. 👀
