The best thing about being able to tether your phone is that it is a feature you can add to your service. (From Verizon, anyway). You are allowed to add or delete this feature at anytime without touching your contract. As with the pc cards, it is an actual contract. Tethering is very affective and works as well as the pc cards. I recommend it over buying a card and signing a contract. 😁
