If you are using your phone in an area that has poor or no evdo network...or you have no real use for evdo you can disable it. Whith phone open press ok>0>000000>go to network select>mode preferences> select 1x only...to change back just follow directions and select the original setting. This will save on your battery because the phone will no longer be using its power to try to find the evdo network. Trust me it works I did it to my wifes phone(wich due to her being a pwr txter(lol) she wld kill her battery by like 6pm...now she still has 2 bars left by midnight.
