Hi everyone,
I just upgraded to the enV a couple of days ago and I LOVE IT!!!!!
I had the VX8000 before and this phone is so sweet!

But I did have a couple of issues with it that I was hoping that maybe someone could answer:
1) I charged my phone on Wednesday night fully. I used the phone on Thursday, but forgot to charge it Thursday night. On Friday, when I woke up, it had 3 bars for the battery indicator. But by evening, the phone had shut itself off. The cause was that the battery was dead. I am in an area with full signal (both 1X and EVDO) and I didn't use the phone that much. Any ideas why the phone died so quickly? I could use my VX8000 for between 2 - 4 days without having to recharge.

2) I purchased the 4GB memor...

Also, I just started getting another error message when I tried the 4GB card into my computer. It says "The semaphore timeout period has expired."

As far as the firmware goes i would say there are many other benefits other than the 4gb microsd card....such as the save functions do not reset everytime you sht the phone off....plus you can send 2meg pics, and send 30 sec vids, go update the firmware and then let us know what happends.

Oh yeah most definitely. I totally agree with you. I updated to version 2 for the firmware and all the changes espcially not having the phone always reset itself to phone memory for pictures is a HUGE plus. ALl of the video camera and picture setting are worth it!

Thanks for your replies! I have the phone at VZW getting the software upgraded now. I'm not sure why (and neither was the tech) why my new phone had the old software on it.

But anyway, I was just curious, why wouldn't the 4GB card work on my computer either? Even if it doesn't work on my phone b/c of the old s/w version, shouldn't it still work fine on my computer?

Thanks!

Well apparently the 4GB card will not work even though it is supposed to work, so I had to go to the 2GB card. Also no problems with the card getting stuck in the phone anymore.

Is there anyway to transfer music from my phone to my friend's phone through bluetooth? Or is it possible to receive music from another phone? Or is this an example of the "restricted" bluetooth?

Thanks!

Yeah, Unfortunately I think it's an example of "restricted bluetooth". The only thing that I can think of is to just put your music on your friends computer then put it from his computer onto his phone or you can even transfer it from your computer to his phone. I hope this helps...

Ok thanks for the tip! I guess everything can't be perfect, but overall I absolutely LOVE the enV! It's such an awesome phone! and it works so reliably. But I have to wait and see if I will have any problems with it after truly using it for a few days.

No problem at all. I've had my enV for a few months already and no problems. Wireless headphones work greatt. yeah i love mine as well. does everything perfectly. It's competeting against the iphone and i think it's better than the iphone ifyou ask me. For several different reasons.
