4GB MicroSDHC WORKS!!!!

Hey everyone, guess what???!! I got the 4GB MicroSDHC card, and it works!!!! I guess maybe the original card was defective maybe.

There is a slight problem though still - it keeps getting stuck inside the memory card slot on the phone. Normally, you just press the card and it pops right out. But on this one, once you press it, it doesn't come out, even if you use tweezers. You have to use a paper clip to push on the left area of the phone in order to get it to push out. Anyone else have this problem? The 2GB card works fine and the two cards look identical - I can't tell any shape difference between them. So I'm kinda puzzled.

It woks if you take a little sand-paper to one side to trim it down (the side without the gold contacts). But who wants to sand-down a $75 memory card? The **** should fit! 👀

Yes it works in the env with the new firmware upgrade....I guess it gets stuck in the silver and
it works fine in the orange. from what I hear.

So, how would silver enV owners go about using the 4 gig micro SD Card in their enV? Anyhow, this will solve many answers to questions for enV owners now. hahahah. Glad to hear that it works though. So really b/w the silver and orange enV, there's really no difference because they both have the same service menu possibly just a different way to access it then right?

yes a diferent way to access the service menu. As far as the 4gb card I guess you cld file it down a lil like was siad b4. But that is at your own risk.

Yeah that's very true but as far as the phone actually being able to read the card, there's no problem there right? Thanks again for tall the info here. It's good stuff.

so i have a question for all of you 4gb users. if you go into memory options does it actually recognize the card as being 4gb or 2gb. i have put a 2gb into phones before and they only recognize the max capacity that the phone software/hardware was made/programmed for. i just would like to know before i venture out and buy one.

Thanks.

I don't have the 4 gig card yet, but I'd haev to think thast if you have Version 2 upgrade, then the phone will recognize the 4 gig memory cause that's what the verison 2 firmware upgrade is for. If i'm wrong here, please correct me though. Thanks.
