Display Difficulties
I apologize in advance if I'm missing something obvious, and thanks a lot in advance for any help.
I just got an orange enV, it says the software version is t99vz02, and I'm wondering if there is any way to keep the front display from turning off. I don't mind the backlight turning off, but I want the display to stay on, especially if i can get the screensaver to work when it's not plugged in.
I've read a couple other threads about this, one of them mentioned a power saving mode. I attempted to change this by accessing the "service menu" by pressing "ok" followed by "0" and another six zeros, but nothing happened. I tried it with the phone open and closed, and with a number of different combination of zeros, but no menu would come up...

to access the system menu...open the flip...then type in ##program9900 and press send.
you have to use the 'sym' key to get the #'s to show up
followed by 6 zero's for the password

I don't think there is a way to have the outer display always on. The longest it'll stay on for is I think that 30 seconds. I mean, geting the light to turn on is easy. just hit the left side buttons for the volume control or just h it the OK button. it's not hard. Sorry i hope this helps.
