Your thoughts about Verizon Wireless

Ok I know this might sound weird to people in this forum, but i'm curious as to how everyone feels about Verizon Wireless? I'm talking about how much you like your own phone and the other phones they offer, their service reception wise and of course Get it Now and VCast, and your plan wise. One of my best friends switched to Sprint because they are cheaper and I kept on telling him that Verizon's got better service even though they are more expensive? So what's everyones opinion here? Thanks in advanced much appreciated! 🙂 😁

I personally have been with all the carriers and there's no question about it - VZW has the best coverage and call quality of all. Admittedly, however, no wireless carrier is perfect and VZW will have pockets of no service/low service and other general problems just like anyone else. But through all my traveling, I've always had a signal with VZW and in some situations, extended network (ex. Charlottesville, VA), other than that, it's rare. But every time I've called customer service, I've always had a great experience and when I did have some problems, the reps would call me back later to give me an update - even when I never asked them to do that. Overall, my experience has been VERY good with VZW and I don't plan on switching away fro...

Shadowstar,

Wow, that was definitely a most excellent review! Thank you for sharing your comments. Yeah listen, the friends i am referring to currently have the Treo 700WX and of course have the data turned off because they can not afford it. They claim to keep on having troubles and problems with customer service because they are over billed all the time. Does this ever happen to you? My dad says that our cell phone bill is also high for 4 lines but still I say it's the Nations most reliable service out of all the 4 carriers. Have you ever had a problem sending texts out, using the Get It Now service, sending a picture/video message at all?

Honestly out of all the phones I've owned from Verizon, they've all been NICER than anyting A...

Hey Carfanatic,
I've never had any problems with sending txts/pics/vids or using GIN at all. I have started to have a problem sending/receiving txts to one of my friends who uses T-Mobile in the Seattle area. All the texts I receive are coming duplicated and also don't seem to be arriving in a timely manner. Sometimes it's instantaneous, but other times, it's delayed by a few hours. Personally I think it's an issue with TMobile and not VZW (or maybe with one of the TMobile Seattle Towers. One of my other friends with T-Mobile has no problems sending/receiving txts/pics to me and I have no problem with sending/receiving to anyone else.

VZW's VCast Music service I think may be a pretty good service. I've never used it, but VCast So...

Hey Shadowstar, Thanks very much for your response! yeah, I use VZ Navigator all the time for the simple fact that I get lost easily. It's a great application. As well as Song ID which I showed to my sister who also has the enV and she was amazed by it as well. Unfortunately, I can't afford to play any games or anything so I don't download any but I have played a Need for Speed game on my old V and that was awesome 3-D graphics. I wonder howmany people who actually have the enV use the VCast package including mobile web 2.0. I'd be curious just to find that out.

As for texts, yeah usually mine send out fine and I do a ton of texting I don't know about you. That's all I do with my phone! Sometimes in a while the phone will say send text ag...

Well my thoughts on the company itself are not all positive.. I wld say they have the best service where I live, but still no evdo yet. I odnt care for GIN it is just a way for them to force you to over spend. Otherwise my current env is a great phone and I have no complaints about it othere than it being a little on the crippled side....thanks to good old vzw

Thanks for your response. Yeah, I've NEVER dropped a call w/ my phones at all. my enV is fine. I love it i can take soo much videofootage with it and it does this sort of stuff quite well indeed. As for the Get it NOw, yeaah, well every carrier wants to get some money from you. I don't know about everyone else on these forums, but i absolutely LOVE VZ Navigator it's such an amazing application. It's my own GPS. As far as texting and typing, well fo course that's what the enV is made for. It's funny, my roommate Mike always jokes around with me by saying that all i do is text and i don't call people as much so all i really need is a texting device. lol. Which is kind of true in a sense.

I've got another question for you guys. Is there som...

There are aftermarket stereos that come with Stereo Bluetooth capability, and I believe there are adapters you can buy. . .as for the quality. . . I dunno. Check out crutchfield's website they have a lot of cool car stuff and the equipment to install it.

Service:
I have been very happy with my Verizon service, not every phone they offer is equal. . .but my enV has been awesome! I have not dropped a call yet and I have signal everywhere I go. Form & function for this phone are top notch. As for call quality, I have finally found the bluetooth that allows me to talk & drive (I was starting to blame my phone) because background noise is a serious issue. The calling plans offer a lot, In-Calling is great! Verizon does not offer an earlier nights option (i'm sure people would pony up the $5 extra for 7:00. . .hint, hint.)but other than that I wouldn't change the plans.
Features:
There are 2 opinions about Get It Now. One camp is the people who never pay for software/music/gam...

Wow that was an amazing response. Thanks. yes to all of your comments. I use most of the applications. VZ Navigator for me is a life saveer. My dad has Tom Tom which he also loves. It's also pretty cheap to i just have to watch my peak minutes. You pay the $5/month for using mobile web? How do you NOT eat up all of your peak minutes though? hahah If i did that, i'd be on the web non stop. As far as their calling plans. I'm currently on a family share plan with 3 lines and we're sharing 500 minutes. We have to try to not go over which sucks cause i don't have the money to go to the next plan up, and i will hopefully be getting my own plan soon once I start working.

As far as Bluetooth connectivity, you don't feel that Verizon cripples the...
