LG enV VX-9900

I noticed that some Env owners have had trouble with thier phones from day one like the phone freezing up or the orange paint peeling. While others have had no problems at all. Is there anything I can do to make sure that the orange Env I eventually get will be in good working order? I'm looking at getting one in December unless I see a good deal before then.

Well, if you get it from an authorized VzW retailer, you will have a 1-year warranty. After that, you can get handset-insurance for a few bucks a month. 🤨
If you really are going to get one in December, they should be pretty cheap, because it's successor is coming out in a few weeks:

Good, hopefully its successor is greatly improved. The ENV isn't worth the box it comes in. I've had phones with a VGA camera that looked better than supposed 2 megapixel the ENV sports. Although even if the camera was all it was cracked upto be the screen resolution is so horrible it wouldn't matter. After having this phone for the last couple months I can't believe it's not Verizons free phone, let alone priced at what it is. Stay away from this phone, your better off using the box as a phone than this piece of crap.

This will be my first Verizon phone. I think I will try the 30 day test drive. That way I can return it if it does'nt work well for me.
