about taking my enV back and exchange it because when its on a all black screen the top and left (main screen) are gray, i get a "new get it now message" screen every once in a while, and my battery doesnt hold a charge. if i take it back is it possible to switch over my ringtones, pictures, etc? or will i have to do all those over again?

You will have to do all of those again, as well as re-download any GIN applications or ringtones that you may have purchased (you will be credited of course).
The only thing the Verizon tech's will transfer is your phone book, you will lose your ringers and pix settings 😢
You may want to back up the file-tree on the old phone before you bring it in for an exchange. 👀
Hope this Helps! 😁

ok no verizon WILL NOT credit anything you have downloaded ever unless you got it from them. also unless its a defect issue you will not get credit even for what was purchased from verizon.

Of course you can't get credited for this stuff, they are billed as text messages. Only GIN ringtones, and other stuff purchased through Verizon services will be credited. A simple back-up of one folder with BitPim and you can retain all of your ringtones for the new 9900. 👀
